Heineken Beertender Brings Bar Taste To Your Home.

Ever since I was a teenager, I had this dream of moving into my first bachelor pad. I couldn’t wait to get out of college, rent a nice little apartment big enough for me and maybe two other people occasionally, and create the perfect party atmosphere. My plans were big, too. Since I would live mainly on pizza there would be no need for a dining room table, so I would simply replace it with an 8′ pool table. Over to the side, I would set up an electronic dartboard machine, like the ones they put in all the bars. And for the best part, a nice wooden bar counter on the side, with a few stools, a liquor cabinet, and a built-in kegerator to offer my friends any drink they could possibly want. I wanted a place where we could hang out like we were at a bar, but never have to leave home. As life would have it, however, after graduating college I fell into the whirlwind of adulthood, and that dream still hasn’t happened. Which is sad, because even though I now own a house, there are so many kids I can’t get an open room until 2014.

Even though I never realized my partyhouse fantasy, there are still some options I can look at without having to sacrifice my yougnest son’s bedroom. The Heineken Beertender is a great way to bring a little bar room freshness into your own home. Built to house a Heineken Draughtkeg, which holds roughly 20 beers, it works similar to those large kegerators but are half the cost and so much smaller. You can even put this on your kitchen counter. There are two models offered, but I am only going to mention the B95 model because it is only $20 more than the B90 and has a couple of options that are worth the extra money.

Beer just tastes better in a draught, so get rid of the bottles and cans and replace them with this. The pour spout and tap handle will make you feel like a bartender as you dish out a few mugs to your friends. The LCD screen gives you important information to keep things running smoothly, such as a 30-day freshness counter to ensure that you always have good quality beer, and the level meter that alerts you it is time to go to the beverage mart. You can even adjust the temperature to either 36, 39 or 42 degrees. Now that’s smooth, ice coold beer at your fingertips.

It is made by Krupps, who have already been one of the best in the business as far as beverage dispensing appliances. The black and silver look gives a cool, sleek appearance, so you won’t throw off the decor of your house. It is perfect if you entertain a good amount, but don’t normally finish off a regular sized keg. My biggest question is whether other beer manufacturers’ mini draught kegs fit in this device as well. If it does, than I am sold. I am not always in the mood for Heineken. But even if you don’t have many parties, it is great to just have sitting around as an option for those hot summer days. Just one suggestion: if you have any small children who like to, say, empty out the water cooler at the doctor’s office because it looks fun, you may want to put a lock on it.
