Killing Germs The Hi-Tech Way

Cold and flu season is hopefully far behind us, but that doesn’t mean we can let our guard down 100%. With the various mutations of different strands of germs flying around these days, I want to keep myself as germ-free as possible. Being a father of five childred, four of which ride a schoolbus and interact with “infected” youngsters, I am always on high alert and armed with a can of Lysol, especially during the winter months. But low and behold, there is a more normal way to keep safe. The UV Disinfectant Wand is the latest way to zap those germs away without looking like a hypochondriac.

Looking conveniently similar to a cell phone, this device emits a UV light that uses radiation to kill virtually any infectant that haunts your private space. In just ten seconds, you can have piece of mind knowing that you just killed your potential cold or virus befiore it had the chance to even attack you. Now, I know what you are thinking; isn’t radiation harmful? Well, yes it is. I mean, there is a good reason they cover you in lead while taking an x-ray of your ankle. For that reason, you cannot simply forget it is not a cell phone and try and answer it. But just think of all the benefits. Keeping yourself and your home free of germs. And for a guy who travels all of the time, and is exposed to every germ pot known to man in the form of comforters and used towels, this will now let me sleep at night without worrying what kinds of diseases I am attracting.

I know there are probably some paranoid people out there who won’t give this a second thought, but I can at least speak to the fact that they have a 10-second timer so you won’t be continuously exposed to the UV radiation. It is efficient, convenient to travel with and carry around on the go, and I find it an awesome invention. Just keep it away from the kiddies, and you should be fine.
