“Secret Agent” Pen Can Really Come In Handy

I am a huge fan of James Bond. I think I have seen every movie at least three times, and the best part of these movies are the little gadgets he uses to get by in his secret agent lifestyle. Some of the items used seem really off base, like the x-ray goggles, or the explosive chewing gum. But some of them are out on the market today, and are worth the thought of actually getting them. The one that fascinates me the most is the video capturing pen, and if I owned one of these it would bring me one step closer to being an inernational superagent.

The pen holds up to 4GB of storage, which translates into roughly 30 hours of decent quality audio/video data. Now I am almost positive this will not be the superior picture that you would get from a digital camcorder, but it is perfect for what it can do. So don’t plan on using it for your home entertainment productions of your child’s birthday gala. It connects to your PC’s USB port for seamless uploading into your hard drive. From there, you can use video editing or DVD creation software and store all of your “evidence” in one location for blackmail, er I mean, support. Does the phrase “Cover Your Butt” mean anything? With this, that got a whole lot easier. And best of all, the pen is actually a nice writing pen, like one of those good expensive ones that seem to last forever.

The uses for this little gadget are endless. Set it up on your desk and catch whoever is stealing your candy stash from inside your drawer. Pop it in your pocket and get that “I think you deserve a raise” conversation recorded for proof down the road. Or, be a little private detective and place it near the water cooler, to see if anyone has something smart to say about you. Be in the know of the office gossip for once. You never know when some little tidbit of information could payoff bigtime. Early retirement, anyone?
