Snap Capp Perfect Picnic Savior For Parents.

Published by cjmullin at 2:31 pm under Kitchen Gadgets, Miscellaneous, Uncategorized

I don’t know about you, but as a father of five children summer picnics end up wasting me a lot of money. Picnics are usually the only time the kids are allowed soda, which I buy by the case for events such as these. Our picnics usually end up in a bonfire, so the cleanup typically takes place the following morning. It is at this point when I discover that more than half of the cans of soda lying around the yard are half full or more. I am not sure what it is, but I have come to realize the kids need that instant sip, then are off playing and forget they have 11.5 ounces left somewhere. Not only does it frustrate me to the point where I want to stop buying canned beverages altogether, but it is such a waste of soda that I would drink had it not been sitting opened in the outside air for all mosquitoes to enjoy.

Thankfully, there is relief to my problem. The Snap Capp fits over the top of a 12 or 16 ounce can, and allows you to put a top on the can and preserve the fizz inside. It also keeps those unwanted bugs from taking a sip, too. I have actually been stung on my lips once takning a swig of my soda without realizing there was a bee sharing it with me, tucked away under the edge of the opening. Talk about pain! Now, I can pick up those half full cans and put them back in the fridge, and force my kids to drink it over the next few days. At least it won’t be flat, and my money will go a bit farther with the reduced waste. It is a win-win for me.

Now, I wish I had a picture, but I couldn’t find one. And although it is not really an electronic gadget, which is what I prefer to talk about, I happened to notice it through a google search a day after one of our last outdoor parties and it happened to fit the moment. It still won’t make that hungover cleanup the next morning fun, but at least it will dampen the aggravation and frustration that comes along with it.
