Speak Your Mind With This LED License Plate Holder.

Published by cjmullin at 10:52 pm under Automotive, Electronics, Miscellaneous, Strange and Wacky

If you are like me, you probably think that traditional bumper stickers are tacky. After a few days of planting the adhesive wonder onto the body of your car, you may tend to get that moment of regret, and then find yourself in the garage at 2:00 am with a bottle of Goo-be-gone and a sponge. Besides, what you feel like expressing today may not be your thoughts for tomorrow, so why make a commitment such as stating you are anit-meat, or that crap happens (I am trying to keep it clean here). Maybe your honor student one semester will flunk out the following term, then what do you do? Well, I can tell you this. This license plate holder is the best option for those who still need to let the guy behind them know where they are at, but don’t want to drive around in a home-made billboard.

You can store up to five messages, each with a total of 120 characters, to let you make the statement you want without having to cut yourself short. All you do is wire it to your car, enter the messages with the remote control, and go crazy! With three scroll speeds, you can keep it quick, or slow it down for the elder folk on those Sunday drives. The bright blue LED light makes it easy to see no matter what time of day it is. It is constructed with aluminum alloy, preventing it from rusting out. It will also look good with any make, model and color. Come on, anything is better than that cheesy plastic dealership advertisement that you drive off the lot with.

I like this product a lot. There are only two issues that may come into play: one is easy to deal with and one may be the end of your electronic road rage. First, the wiring may tend to get a little difficult, as it must run off a standard 12-volt DC and be hardwired to your car’s electronics. Not everyone is electrical savy, so simply take it to a professional and get hooked up in no time. Second, before you make this purchase, check with your state’s DMV regulations, to see if this is allowed where you live. For the most part, I can’t see any troubles, but you don’t want to get stuck with something this cool and not be able to use it.
