Wireless Floating Speaker Keeps Your Pool Sounding Cool
I may not be a smart man, but I do know one thing: iPods and water do not mix! I have learned this pretty much since day one, although my son still has not. He has let three of the wonderful little audio devices go through the laundry and into an early grave. But as I had said in previous posts, think of all the advantages of having your audio player work around areas such as the pool. While there are special mp3 players that use a different audio technology for individuals to hear music, there are easier methods available to let the entire pool area enjoy some tunes.
The Wireless Floating Speaker is a great way to jam to your favorite playlists without the worry of placing your iPod or audio player near the water. All you have to do is plug your player into the wireless transmitter, and it will send your music through the air, blasting out of the speaker that floats around in the water. You can use it while swimming laps, lounging around with family and friends, or even use it as a DJ for poolside events. Just plop it in the water, and go. But please be careful of the skimmer. There really isn’t any warning posted or anything, but I have almost lost a finger or two trying to get out clogged leaves, so I know the power of water suction. This should be too big to where it won’t be an issue, but I am just saying beware. Also, when cholrinating or shocking your pool, it would probably be a good idea to pull this out for a little bit. Or better yet, just put it afloat when in the pool to be safe.
With summer rapidly approcahing, I can see this as a must-have for those pool owners who entertain a lot. I am sure there are other fancy pants stereo systems out there, to hook into the pool walls or involve som sort of wiring hassle, but for a decent price, this one will get you by just fine.
Check it out here.
