Give Your Dreams a Musical Theme

So I thought today I could get back on track with a positive look at some really cool gadget. That is, of course, until I went browsing the gadget scene this morning. It appears that there is an overwhelming demand for MP3 accessories that are more than a little strange. I have seen jackets that you can plug your audio device into and control it with buttons on the sleeve, as well as backpacks that offer similar functions. The thought is a decent idea, but they always look so cheesy that I wouldn’t be caught dead with them in public. Today I came across this Plush Pillow MP3 Speaker, and I couldn’t be more speechless.

The comfy little gadget is designed to resemble, what else, an iPod. The pillow has a built-in speaker and FM tuner, giving you the premium sound quality you would expect in a pillow. Are we looking for musical pillows that much? I would love the ability to pump in a good soundtrack into my dreams every now and then, but I think all this would do is give me a sore ear and a headache. I know it is not meant to be a pillow you actually rest your head on, but you know what I’m getting at. The buttons on the front of the pillow are fully functional, and when connected will allow you to zoom through your playlists. I am not too sure about the use of the pictured clickwheel, though. Plug in your audio player in the back of the pilow, where you can rest your device in a secure zipper pouch, and you can enjoy your music as well as some night-night time.

Hopefully these types of gadgets are geared more as a novelty than for serious use. That’s how I think of them, at least. With so many other options to fill your room with great sound from your music players, like docking stations or full blown compatibale stereos, why bother with one of these. It is a cheaper option being priced under $10, so there is a plus side. See, at least I am not all negative.
