Is That a Clock!!?
Well, I have now seen it all today. I came across this clock while conducting a thorough Google search and it has totally brought me to a boiling point. Now, I have seen some pretty interesting clocks, especially that last one I discussed a while back. But at least it had something interesting about it, such as a robotic arm changing the time or one that shoots out pieces to prevent you from over snoozing. This is a Wood LED clock that only shows the time when turned on. And when it is powered down, it looks like a plain old block of wood sitting on your night stand. That’s it. Doesn’t that sound interesting? That’s not even a decorative move, because last time I checked blocks of wood lying around meant one thing: you had kids and they don’t pick up after themselves. It has the panel at the back where you can adjust the time and plug in the cord, but I can honestly say these things can’t be flying off the shelves too fast. Especially because it is selling for, now get this, $379! Yes, it is hard to imagine, isn’t it? I think they justify the price because it is a Japanese import. Big deal. Things come in from China all the time for a dime, why does a block of wood from Japan that flashes the time cost so much? I swear my brother made a clock out of wood in shop class twenty years ago. We sold it at a yard sale for fifty cents. I don’t know, it could be I am just in a crabby mood because summer is almost over. Either that, or I am a really disgruntled consumer who feels that enough is enough with some of this stuff we are being charged high dollar amounts for.
