Nabaztag-A New Household “Pet”
We all remember the gigapets, Furby’s and every other attempt of implementing new, digital pets into our daily routine called life. Nabaztag is a digital rabbit that appears to adapt to the technology of your home Wi-Fi network. Plug him/her in, and it connects to the Internet, keeping you up on the latest news, sports, weather, and whatever else you want him to. And the best part is you never have to feed it, give it water, or worry about potty training. They even read books, which is a great tool for those households with little children. Watch the Nabaztag in action here (with the interviewer taking the chance to poke fun at the interviewee’s accent and the fact that the demo version had a few mishaps…it is pretty funny).
In similar fashion, these rabbits are designed to work like a Webkin, where you can interact your “pet” with the Internet content it’s connected to. Unlike the Webkin, however, this truly interacts and doesn’t just sit there looking all cute and cuddly. If you want to learn more about adopting one of these over a Webkin, or any other digital or Internet pet, check it out here, and “join the rabbit community!”
