Please…Stop trying This at Home!

Published by cjmullin at 2:10 am under Strange and Wacky, Uncategorized

Ok, time for another “why are they doing that” gadget post. As crazy as I thought those people were who invented the coil gun and tortured that poor potato, here I am again amazed at the amount of time one must have to put all of his energy into something for pure enjoyment. Look at this guy who made his own pong watch, and you will see what I am talking about.

I mean, come on. Pong was cool…back in 1976! Right around the same time the music in the background came from. It was a great invention, and put Atari on the map. I guess it is probably the forefront of video gaming as we know it today. But its PONG!! After five seconds I get bored with it and want to fall asleep. Do I have ADD? Maybe. But that’s besides the point. If this is your thing, then I apologize immensely. If you are on my side, I knew you were one of the good ones. For every person out there who is thinking “well at least they are putting their time to good use” and “idle hands is the devil’s plaything”, you may be onto something. It is good that they are out there building watches that don’t tell time and guns that shoot vegetables. At least nobody is getting hurt.
