Bring Your Party Anywhere With the TailGator

Published by cjmullin at 5:58 pm under Appliances, Camping/Outdoors, Uncategorized

Now I thought I have seen everything in my life here on earth. That is, of course, until extended camping trip over Labor Day weekend. The family and I took the boat out to an island located in the middle of the “beautiful” Hudson River (if you are from New York, you will pick up on the sarcasm of that statement), and decided to spend a peaceful weekend away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The camping site is only 20 minutes from home, so its not like we were far away in the middle of nowhere. And for the first three days and nights, peaceful is what it was. Sitting by the fire at night, chilling in the sand all day. We really didn’t want to leave. Then Labor Day came, and with it was several of our friends ready to destroy our quiet time, all of them in party mode. We decided that if you can;t beat them, you might as well join them, so we put our party hats on and reluctantly gave up our relaxation.

That is when one couple in our group of friends pulled out the TailGator, and I honestly never realized such a thing existed. It is a gas-powered blender, perfect for enjoying mixed cocktails in spots where electricity is hard to come by. Being in an island in the river, we were in just one of those spots. And let me tell you, this thing is amazing! I mean, it blended chunks of ice to smithereens in less than 11 seconds. My blender in the kitchen can’t even work that fast. And the drinks? Whoa man. But I can’t say that was the TailGator more than the guy making them.

The base weighs in at a hefty ten pounds, which is really the only drawback I see. The pitcher is nice and lightweight, all of the controls are mounted on the front and easy to access, and the stainless steel blades will destroy anything in its way. No electricity required, the 25cc Poulan 2-stroke engine operates the same as your weed whacker or chainsaw. Just add the appropriate 2-cycle engine oil with a little gasoline, and you have the ultimate party machine in town. The fuel economy is amazing, as well, giving you nearly 6,500 drinks per gallon of gas. Perfect for camping, tailgate parties in the parking lot before the big game, or when you get kicked out of the house because you forgot your anniversary…again.

Never cut your party short again just because you feel limited without the right power. Bring the TailGator everywhere, and you won’t be sorry. Just make sure you keep the gasoline and oil in the right container, you wouldn’t want to be a party pooper having to be rushed to the ER.
