JetBoil Will Keep Any Camper Happy

Most of you probably think camping season is over. I might agree with you, especially when I look at the thermometer the past few days, but I can’t stop thinking about stuff I need before next season is back in full swing. Now, cooking is always an issue, but as long as I have my propane table grill and charcoal for the fire pit, we are all set. I guess the only improvement I can think of, other than a bigger tent to sleep a family of seven more comfortably, is a more efficient way to get a hot cup of coffee in the morning. We have tried everything, and no matter what we always end up with a twenty minute wait followed by a lot of coffee grinds in the cup. And keeping the fire hot enough is sometimes difficult, especially if it had rained the night before. So I saw the JetBoil through an on-line search and I think it might solve my problems for next year.

The JetBoil is a propane-fueled boiling system that serves a lot of different uses. The canister of propane sits at the bottom with enough fuel to boil 12 liters of water. On top of that is a burner base that reduces wind interference, offers matchless ignition, and can be adjusted from simmer to boil. Attached to that is the 1-liter cooking cup, which is lined outside with a nice cozy material that won’t burn your hands. The cup has a FluxRing heat exchanger, which directs the heat to the cup, further reducing issues on the windy days. this also keeps the JetBoil fuel efficient, allowing you to get the most for your camping adventure.

This Personal Cooking System boils the liter of water in just under two minutes, so you will never have to sit around stoking a fire trying to get that well needed coffee in the morning. After sleeping on the ground in a bag all night, that’s all I look forward to when the sun rises. But this allows you to cook noodles, or boil anything that may have been a pain in the past. You can introduce new dinner options to your camp mates, who get sick of eating hot dogs and hamburgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I didn’t see anything to reduce coffee grinds, however, so I may have to switch to instant coffee (eww) or come up with another solution. But with this in my camping arsenal, I think I am well on my way to becoming the ultimate camper.
